| Modern technology makes our world smaller and more interconnected, giving people easier access to different parts of the world. The hospitality and tourism industry plays a big role in providing this access, and has become more and more important as a driver of income increases worldwide. One of the tasks of each country’s hospitality and tourism sector is to introduce the country to foreign visitors, focusing on different aspects of the country’s culture, nature and people. Each country tries to find interesting and challenging strategies to attract travelers, leading to new types of tourism and services. However, we also need to seek cooperation across and between regions to create synergy for hospitality and tourism actors on the national level. Therefore, it is a good idea to have people from various countries in the region who work in the same fields share their experience and expertise. This will lead to better assistance and cooperation in the future. Hospitality and tourism education has its own part to play in preparing students to enter an increasingly internationalized field. |
