The Research and Development Institute (RDI), Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) was established in accordance with the Ministerial Regulations of the Ministry of Education which is the part concerning to the organization establishment within Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya. This ministerial regulation was announced in the Government Gazette on 18 January B.E. 2548. This announcement shall be in force Rajamangala Institute of Technology (indicated in Rajamangala Institute of Technology Act B.E. 2518) became “Rajamangala University of Technology”. Since then, RDI of RMUTSV was established on 27 November 2006 in Trang Campus.
